Henfield Funeral Services opened in December 2014 in Henfield High Street, its welcoming offices on the corner of Church Street are bright and airy, with a cluster of pretty ‘thank you’ cards on the desk bearing testament to Karen and Nick’s good service and kindness. This was followed by the opening of Willows Funeral Service in February 2018.

Nick and Karen take care of all aspects of a funeral and can also offer help and advise with pre-paid funeral plans (a great way to ensure peace of mind for the ones you leave behind) as well as specialist monumental masonry. They understand the importance of families putting their special mark on a funeral and making it as personal as possible for a loved one.

Karen was brought up within the funeral director industry as her late father Richard who sadly passed in 2023 had been a funeral director for over 50 years serving his local community. Karen met Nick in 1994 who knew Richard well. Nick and Karen started their journey together alongside Richard, because they saw how much families needed care, honesty and kindness & Karen certainly learnt from the best. They wanted to build something different. A place where every family is treated like one of their own with respect and gentle guidance every step of the way. Families have expressed their thanks to Nick and Karen telling them that the care, compassion and attention to detail are second to none. Nick has been a funeral director for over 30 years and Karen over 20 years.

Nick and Karen’s two children, Connor and Alisha, joined Henfield Funeral Services to continue the family tradition. With over 50 years of experience directing funerals between them, Nick and Karen they greet people with a smile, make the whole process as straightforward as possible and above all make families feel comfortable. The options and decisions can be overwhelming, it’s when everyone needs a guiding hand.
